We have a scholarship available for a post-doctoral fellow staring in August 2018.
The project aims to develop a novel diffuse optical instrument to be employed in the clinic, particularly in the OR and the neuro ICU.
It is expected that the candidate have basic knowledge of electronics and experience with common data analysis software (Matlab, Python, and/or LabView). Good interpersonal skills are important since the job requires working along with patients and physicians. Previous experience in the hospital or with optics is desired (but not required).

Although we do not have specific funding for exchange researchers, there are several opportunities for supporting joint collaborations and visiting researchers exchange in Brazil. Contact us if you are interested!
Undergraduates looking for a foreign opportunity to complete research credits or independent studies are also welcome. We do have some options as far as funding goes, both for the short-term and for the long-term (up to 12 months).
Your background is secondary. We value pro-activity and interest in learning the most! So it does not matter if you come from Engineering, Physics, Math, Bio or any other major. As long as you eager to learning you have a shot.
