Measurement of cerebral oxygenation during exercise with NIRS

Collaborative studies between UFRN and our lab used NIRS to measure cerebral oxygenation during exercise. The first 2 papers from a series of collaborative studies between our labs are out. The first paper, by Weslley Silva et al. (http://journals.plos.org/plosone/article?id=10.1371/journal.pone.0186926), analyse how affect can affect exercise perfomance. The second paper, by Kell et al. (http://journals.plos.org/plosone/article?id=10.1371/journal.pone.0188030) employs NIRS to suggest that drug abusers have impaired oxygenation and cognition during exercise.

Estudos em colaboração entre nosso lab e a UFRN usaram NIRS para medir a oxigenação cerebral durante o exercício. Os primeiros 2 artigos de uma série de estudos colaborativos entre nossos labs estão publicados. O primeiro artigo, de Weslley Silva et al. (http://journals.plos.org/plosone/article?id=10.1371/journal.pone.0186926), analisou como o afeto pode afetar a performance no exercício. O segundo artigo, de Kell et al. (http://journals.plos.org/plosone/article?id=10.1371/journal.pone.0188030) usa NIRS para sugerir que usuários de drogas tem oxigenação e cognição afetadas durante o exercício.
