Patent on optical methods conceded

The US Patent Office conceded today a patent deposited by researchers of the University of Pennsylvania in collaboration with the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) and our lab.

The patent, entitled "Probes and pressure modulation algorithms for reducing extratissue contamination in hemodynamic measurement," proposes an efficient way to remove extra-cortical contributions of the optical signal by integrating pressure sensors in the optical probe.
